Jon’s dedication to clinical excellence and innovation led him to Remedy, where he is both a psychologist and the Clinical Director. With his clients, he works from the belief that insight into the self promotes actions that are fundamental to the change process. His approach is primarily cognitive-behavioural, and he collaborates with clients to build trusting relationships, set specific goals, foster self-understanding, and develop skills that create movement towards desired outcomes. Jon helps clients address a wide variety of concerns such as those related to mental health (e.g., anxiety, depression), self-esteem, relationships, work/school functioning, and self-discovery. He has particular expertise in treating trauma and the issues that follow from it. His practice is inclusive and he welcomes everyone without judgment.
Jon has made a point in his career to work with clients across many different settings and life circumstances. He has worked in private practice, executive health clinics, as well as with the St. Michael’s Hospital Family Health Team. He also led the development, staff training and evaluation of the Outpatient Traumatic Stress Clinic at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Along the way, Jon earned his certification as a Cognitive Processing Therapy Quality-Rated provider and as an Interpersonal Psychotherapist. He has taken a special interest in the way psychology practices are organized and run and, as Clinical Director, helps Remedy to constantly innovate and grow.

Free OHIP-Funded Group with Dr. Paul Uy
Feeling overwhelmed by climate change, war, AI, or other global crises? You’re not alone. Join a supportive group to explore and process the complex emotions of living in a rapidly changing world. Guided by The Work That Reconnects (developed by eco-philosopher Joanna Macy), we’ll share, reflect, and build resilience together.
Holotropic Breathwork provides an important and powerful opportunity for deep self exploration and healing. Lying on a mat, with eyes closed, you use your own breath and the music in the room to enter an expanded state of awareness. This activates the inner healing wisdom which then guides the process.
