Mélodie Lemay-Gaulin
D.Psy — CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

About

Melodie (she/her) believes that healing occurs through supportive relationships where individuals feel safe to be honest with themselves and to experience a full range of emotions. Her therapeutic aim is to support clients’ innate healing abilities while offering gentle guidance in understanding and confronting barriers to change. Her integrative therapeutic approach draws from humanistic-existential theories, emotion-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral models.

During her training, Melodie worked with adolescents, adults, and couples across a range of presentations, and received highly specialized training at the McGill University Health Centre’s Sex and Couple Therapy clinic during her residency. She was involved in research focused on adult neurodiversity, queer and trans experiences, and cannabis use. Mélodie is dedicated to lifelong learning and continually seeks out training opportunities to enhance her practice. Her work is neurodiversity-affirming, sex-positive, and inclusive of LGBTQIA+ communities and non-traditional relationship structures.

Melodie has a long-standing interest in non-ordinary states of consciousness.
